GRAIN LAUNCHES PICK UP STAR PROGRAM TO REPLACE POOR DELIVERY OPTIONS

Grain To Abandon Delivery and Reward Guests for Being the Pick-Up Star

NEWARK, DE – After continued frustrations with late and partially eaten deliveries by third-party delivery services, Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen has eliminated deliveries and instead will focus on rewarding the champions who pick up Grain for their group with a $1 drink for their efforts.

“It has been extremely frustrating for our teams to see their hard work get shoved into the back seat of a car with three deliveries from other places, almost guaranteeing that our product isn’t making it to the table like we would want it.” explains Grain co-founder, Jim O’Donoghue.

Recognizing that effort is required to get off the couch to go pick up a couple cheesesteaks or crab nachos, Grain is implementing the “Pick-Up Star” program. The Pick-Up Star program rewards the pick up person with a $1 drink of his or her choice (within limits, or course) from the bar while awaiting pick up. The objective is to make Grain’s experience available to any guest, regardless of where they ultimately eat the meal.

Online ordering through GrainAtHome.com will still be available to allow for fast and easy online ordering for our Newark, H2O, Kennett Square and Trolley Square locations. If the “Pick Up Star” is of legal drinking age, the $1 drink can be a draft beer, house wine or rail cocktail. Catching up with one of our bartenders is always complementary.  If the “Pick Up Star” is not 21, have a free soda on us.
