Each year, Grain teams up with a local artist to explore a design for a local cause.
It is with incredible sadness that we share the sudden passing of Steven “Alawishus” Johnson. In light of this tragedy, Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park have graciously asked that proceeds instead go to his wife. A GoFundMe has also been established in his name.
2021’s Artist:
Steven Alawishus
Steven Alawishus is a Delaware born illustrator who experiments with both digital art and hand printed woodcuts. Steven has degrees from both DCAD and MICA but found himself falling in love with southern Delaware living. As a nature enthusiast he loves surf fishing, bike rides at the cape, and long drives along the coast with his wife.

Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park
Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park is the Friends group working to support the Cape Henlopen park. We have a wide variety of programs...many of which are unique due to the geographical location and environmental diversity of the Cape Henlopen area.

Ride The Wave
Steven wanted to capture all the nature and activity possible at Cape Henlopen State Park. His design combines biking, water fun and nature perfectly, just like Delaware’s Cape Henlopen State Park does.
